When you think about youtube, you think of Mr.Beast.
He has one of the most recognizable faces on youtube.
He is perfectly brand friendly
He wears a BIG SMILE and has beaming blue eyes.
He looks like the average american male.
He also holds himself in a way where you can't fully read him.
He has studied youtube to an extensive amount.
If you want advice on youtube-
LISTEN TO HIM.
I think the best thing I learned directly for him
was that, you make a video to tell a story.
From start to end, you are reading a book but visually.
What is the goal of the video? How do you want the watcher to feel?
Some people would say that his fame or whatever was luck
However, I completely disagree.
He funneled every penny he made back into his channel
Why?
Because he knew that it was a BUSINESS before it was a CHANNEL.
He knew what would work well with the audience.
Giving away money to strangers, Tournaments, Helping others.
The charitable nice guy - Mr. Beast.
What Mr. Beast does right is that he takes tv show elements and adds them into his videos.
He is essentially made a brand new pilot episode every single video he makes and thats where the success is.
What about jimmy has actual personality?
he is the average jo shomo-
doesn't give much personality at all to the audience.
He is all brand nothing else.
But that's what draws the audience in, they can pretend to care about the host but really their is a huge disconnect between the audience and the person on the screen.
They are drawn to the concept not the host.
He just makes it easier because he is never really the main character just a guy experience strange/not normal things around him.
so the audience can easily project onto him.
Sure, some creators need to make their audience as personal as possible or they would fail
but the RIGHT long term creator needs to run it like a BUSINESS not just a "im so close to fans"
because that will lead to a faster downfall.
If they contribute to a brand rather than just fan engagement than they are less likely to have an easier downfall
Since, their is a less of disconnect.
